A new infrastructure for access to energy

VOLKA is a new energy access infrastructure

We provide access to electricity for electric vehicles where they remain parked for hours. We finance, install and operate a network of power points, with no investment required from the property owner.

Why VOLKA

Access to energy is becoming the new challenge for modern cities

Most vehicles stay parked for 6, 8 and often even 12 hours a day. VOLKA exists to put that idle time to use.

No access to energy

Electric vehicles arrive faster than the places where their drivers can actually use energy.

A growing number of electric vehicles

Every year brings new drivers who need natural access to energy where they park.

High cost of classic infrastructure

DC charging stations require expensive grid upgrades and investments running into hundreds of thousands.

What VOLKA is

A system for sharing energy with electric vehicles

VOLKA combines 230 V power points, access control, consumption monitoring and user billing in a single solution. Property owners share energy without building costly infrastructure, and drivers use it whenever they need it.

Power points

230 V sockets right where the vehicle is parked.

Access control

Sessions start with a QR code, no cards and no keys.

Consumption monitoring

Energy use measured in real time.

User billing

Drivers pay for what they actually use.

The big idea

The car is parked anyway

6h
8h
12h

Electric vehicles spend most of their time parked: at home, at the office, at a hotel, in a car park, at the airport, in a marina. VOLKA turns that idle time into access to energy.

How it works

Five steps from plugging in to settlement

  1. Plug in

Connect your own cable to a VOLKA socket.

  2. Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code on the power point.

  3. Use the energy

The vehicle charges while it is parked.

  4. Usage is measured

Energy is metered in real time.

  5. Pay for what you use

Settlement after the session, no RFID cards.

Use cases

One solution, many use cases

Energy where vehicles stay for longer.

Residential estates

Charging at home for residents.

Access to energy throughout the working day.

Public car parks

Power points inside the urban ecosystem.

Hotels

Charging during the stay, added value for guests.

Airports

Energy available wherever vehicles stay at the airport for many hours.

Marinas and campsites

Seasonal access to energy during longer stops.

Project start

The first VOLKA system is being built in the multi storey car park at Blue City in Warsaw. The project shows how energy can be shared with car park users in a safe, controlled and billable way.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

This is one of the most common issues for housing associations and property managers. Residents expect to be able to charge their electric cars at their own parking space, while managers worry about investment costs, electrical upgrades and running the system afterwards.

VOLKA can equip practically every parking space with access to electricity, within the limits of the building's available connection capacity. Residents use energy exactly where their vehicles stand for many hours.

Most importantly, the housing association carries no investment cost. VOLKA finances the installation, launches the system, supports users and handles billing.
